Eight spaces with water games now available to freshen up in the summer
There are more children’s play areas with water games available this summer, with eight to be found in different neighbourhoods. These spaces for freshening up will be operating from 10 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm. The measure is part of the Pla Clima, which has the goal of adapting the city to the high temperatures and follows the strategy to promote play in public spaces.
A space to freshen up in Pl. Maresme
The water games have a responsible use system, with a button that does not allow the cycle to start until the previous one is over.
The new spaces for freshening up can be found in the following places:
- Area around the Casa de l’Aigua de la Trinitat Vella
- Jardins de Sant Joan de Déu at L’Illa Diagonal
- Parc de les Glòries
- Plaça del Maresme
They come in addition to the existing ones in:
- Carrer de Juan Ramón Jiménez, in Canyelles
- Parc de les Rieres d’Horta
- Parc del Canòdrom
- Plaça de la Lluita per les Llibertats, in Bon Pastor
These spaces in children’s play areas are the only ones conditioned for people to freshen up in. Entering or bathing in decorative fountains is prohibited.
